Once a Patrician, always a Patrician
Dedicated to the alumni of Saint Patrick High School and the future alumni of The Patrick School — tradition, honor and family since 1863.
From Court Street to today
After 149 years of serving students from Elizabethport and communities throughout New Jersey, the Archdiocese of Newark closed St. Patrick High School & Academy in June 2012. Thanks to the quick thinking of Principal Joe Picaro and Vice-Principal Chris Chavannes, a "Save St. Patrick's" campaign was under way before the doors on Court Street closed for the last time.
SPHS closes. Donations and the "Farewell to Court Street" event fund the search for a new home.
In six short weeks, volunteers transform the old Social Security building at 547 Morris Avenue, Elizabeth — and TPS welcomes 130 students to a brand-new home.
Another move, to a two-story school building on Columbia Avenue in Hillside — accomplished in weeks by selfless volunteers, celebrated with an Alumni Barbecue.
From Union to Princeton Junction, The Patrick School continues to help our children pursue excellence in every walk of life. Stop by our new home — we think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Honoring our past, our re-birth, and our future
A Cornus x 'Rutgan' hybrid dogwood in Stellar Pink, donated anonymously by alumni in the fall of 2012, stands at the entrance of the school — our symbol of the Patrician passage from SPHS into the future.

Keeping the spirit of SPHS alive
The Patrician Club rallies and organizes alumni, friends, family and staff of both SPHS and TPS — gathering supporters and volunteers, distributing The Patrician newsletter, and keeping Patricians in touch with the community.
Volunteer committees
Most committees only require a telephone or e-mail address to join — you don't need to live nearby. No help is too small.
To join a committee, contact Chris Chavannes ('73) at (908) 353-5220 or email [email protected] with "Patrician Club Committees" in the subject line.

The Patrician Hall of Fame
St. Patrick High School traced its origins to 1863 — New Jersey's oldest parochial high school. Since 1992, the Hall of Fame has honored graduates and members of the SPHS family whose contributions to faith, family, career and community embody the school's motto: "All for the glory of God."
